Gbreeze: an air purifier with wireless mobile charging capabilities

by Team TechnoBanana14th April 2015

  • Gbreeze (Gentle Breeze) is a smart air purifier featuring a powerful custom layered filter with activated carbon capable of removing Formaldehyde, Benzene, Ammonia VOCs, fine particles (PM2.5), dust mites, smoke and odors among other solid contaminants from the air. This is perfect for those suffering from pollen allergies, asthma or other respiratory problems. Fresh and clean air also helps get rid of fatigue. To top it all off Gbreeze has the ability to wirelessly charge your smartphone through Qi wireless charging (here is a complete list of Qi compatble and integrated phones).

The air purifier is ‘smart’ in that it can automatically detect air quality and pollutants and change the fan speed accordingly. For instance if your light up a cigarette, it’ll kick into overdrive. It has been designed to to easily carry and use in your home, car or office with accessories including a car holder, anti skid pad for your phone and wireless charging phone case for those phones which don’t have Qi wireless charging capabilities built in.

The Gbreeze air purifier features a touch sensitive power button offering 3 fan speed, can work with 110 to 220V and the manufacturer says the filter will last about three months, but they suggest you change it in 2 months for optimal working.

Gbreeze is currently raising funds on KickStarter and you can still (at the time of writing) get one for as low as $149 USD with an extra filter. UPDATE: Gbreeze was unable to raise the required funds.

Overall the Gbreeze air purifier has a sleek look and coupled with its wireless charging ability it is a nice addition to ones car, especially for those that spend a lot of time on the road, where we believe this will excel due to the confined space and limited air it has to clean.

We’ll have more including a detailed once its officially launched.
