Small Apparel – Kid’s Clothes With A Conscience
0

  • Small Apparel, the super small, family-run business in Portland, Oregon, is changing the way that they do business.  Their goal is to give back.  Every season, they’ll partner with a handful of worthy, kid-focused nonprofits, and inspired by their missions, will create unique design collections.  25% of the proceeds from those collections will go right back to the nonprofits that inspired them.  This isn’t a single-season stunt; this is the way that they’ll do business until the end of time.

Founded in 2015, by Ryan and Amanda Topham (and their three-year-old Calvin), Small Apparel creates super comfy, well designed graphic clothing for babies, kids and youths.  This business change was spurred by a desire to keep doing what they love, while also dedicating their business to the families they serve.

We are changing the way we do things because we want to make a real impact on the lives of kids year-round,” said Amanda, co-founder of Small Apparel.  “The nonprofits that we work with are ones that we believe in, and the contributions that we make will go along way toward bettering the lives of kids in our community, and communities across the country.

To facilitate this change, Small Apparel is currently seeking funding through a Kickstarter campaign.  With pledge levels from $1 up to $1,000, offering all kinds of fun and useful rewards, they hope to raise over $6,500 to purchase stock, source local printers, and spread the word about all of the nonprofits that they work with.
