Water Balloon Fights 2.0: Zorbs + Bunch O Balloons

by Team TechnoBanana18th April 2015

  • We remember back in the day when we had to fill up water balloons one at a time and tie each one individually. The painstakingly long process leading up to the ultimate fight. Which never lasted as long is is took to fill up the balloons.

Oh wow how times have changed. Today we’re going to share some revolutionary developments in the water balloon fight arena and you can take our word for it, these advancements are a game changer allowing rapid production of arsenal stockpiles even mid battle when you’re being bombarded.

Zorbs – self ‘tying’ water balloons

water balloonsFirst up we introduce Zorbz, these little bad boys require no tedious knot tying, just fill and throw. Thanks to their special ‘Insta-Seal technology’, all you have to do is fill the Zorbz balloon as you would any other (by placing the neck of Zorbz on the filler nozzle and slowly filling the Zorbz water balloon while holding it in an upright position, until it is about the size of an orange).

Then you remove Zorbz from the filler nozzle by gently pinching the neck, hold the balloon upright, slightly stretch the neck, let go of the neck to allow Snap and Seal technology to seal the balloon without having to tie it, its that simple!

You can get Zorbz water balloons in packs of 50 or 100. They come in 6 colors: blue, orange, purple, red, yellow and white. Hydro Toys, the company behind Zorbz states that they are made from 100% biodegradable latex and are safe for the environment and most effective when filled 20 minutes before tossing them.

For some additional fun Hydro Toys has release some accessories for the Zorbz self tying water balloons including a combat trigger filler, combat shield, combat launcher and what we think is the best: a combat power pump.

Bunch O Balloons – 100 self tied water balloons in 60 seconds

water balloonsNext we bring you Bunch O Balloons, an amazing project that was successfully funded through KickStarter, they managed to raise almost 1 million dollars ($929,160 to be exact) thanks to the help of over 21,000 backers! Bunch O Balloons feature an attachment with links to the water balloons. All you have to do is attach it to a hose and let it rip. Once the water balloons are filled you just give them a little shake and they snap off fully sealed and all!

water baloonsBunch O Balloons creator Josh Malone (Tinnus Enterprises), has recently signed a deal with ZURU Toys Inc. (yes, the same ones who brought us X-Shot blasters and Crazies) to exclusively bring the Bunch O Balloons to market.

Bunch O Balloons are also fully biodegradable. The original ones seem to be only available in green however thanks to Zuru, new colors are on the way.

Before we go and get in on the action we’d like to mention another weapon to change the fight: the Tie Not Water Balloon Filler (as featured on ABCs Shark Tank TV Show). The Tie Knot is a simple accessory that eases the pesky knot tying process.
